IMPACT Event: 13 OCTOBER 2023, DUNSILLY HOTEL (ANTRIM)
Self Directed Support is a flexible way of funding social care support. It gives people more choice about how their assessed needs are met. A managed budget allows people to stay in control of money they are given to meet their care and support needs without having to manage the money – this is done by a third party.
Over the past year we have been supported by IMPACT to explore how we can make managed budgets happen. The 13th October saw a gathering of people with an interest in moving this forward. Many of those at the event were decision makers and our aim was to leave them with practical action plans to build upon.
