ARC UK Interim Strategy states, to achieve real change that puts people with a learning disability, autism, or other additional support needs at the centre of decision-making, and in the heart of their communities.
We believe that achieving our vision depends on everyone working together, sharing ideas, experiences and learning from each other.
As an umbrella body, our role is to provide innovative ideas, practical support and training to champion best practice whilst enabling networking opportunities to broker open and transparent relationships across the statutory, private and voluntary sectors.
Our philosophy and belief is that everyone is unique and all can make valuable contributions to society. We champion equal human rights for all and defend the right to freedom, respect, protection and self-determination. Everyone should be treated with dignity in their daily lives and all services should promote this principle. As a member of ARC you sign to confirm your commitment to implementing this principle in practice.
