The ARC Strategy

ARC UK Strategic Vision 2016-2020, ARC’s four year strategy states clearly that we exist to improve the quality of life for people who have a learning disability and we do this by supporting anyone who is involved in the planning or delivery of support and services.

arc-strategy v2

As an umbrella body, our role is to provide innovative ideas, practical support and training to champion best practice whilst enabling networking opportunities to broker open and transparent relationships across the statutory, private and voluntary sectors.

Our three core pillars of activity fall under:

  • Support & Develop
  • Connect & Liaise
  • Influence & Voice

Our philosophy and belief is that everyone is unique and all can make valuable contributions to society. We champion equal human rights for all and defend the right to freedom, respect, protection and self-determination. Everyone should be treated with dignity in their daily lives and all services should promote this principle. As a member of ARC you sign to confirm your commitment to implementing this principle in practice.

Various years activities and achievements are documented in the reports below.
