ARC exists to improve the quality of life for people who have a learning disability, or other support needs, by assisting anyone who is involved in planning or delivery of support services for people who have a learning disability.
The annual Training Programme is developed in consultation with our members and the wider social care sector in recognition that our training does benefit non-members providing services to other clients groups eg those working the field of dementia, mental ill-health or older people. Training is available for both members and non-members, however places are limited, so completing and returning a booking form is essential.
Due to the current situation with the covid pandemic this year’s programme has been developed and produced to take into account workforce needs during this crisis and the rules and guidance around social distancing and lockdown restrictions. Because of this, all training will be delivered virtually via Zoom. The programme will be updated regularly and is available to download here*.
ARC NI has a Training Directory listing over 70 of the courses we can provide that includes costs, refresher timescales etc. Any of these can be delivered in-house at an organisation’s request, offering wider staff participation at a cost efficient rate.
