ARC responds to public consultations, raising awareness of the impact of the practical implementation of government legislation and policy on our stakeholders. Through drafting a response and sharing it across our members in advance of submission, each and every organisation has an opportunity to comment, amend and change – ensuring we provide a collective response as an umbrella organisation.
The end result of this work also allows ARC to have a better understanding of the needs of our members and enables us to better reflect the needs of the learning disability sector.
We translate consultation documents into easy read versions and use this to consult with groups of people with learning disabilities. Their feedback is then included within ARC’s final response.
