The Association for Real Change (ARC) is an umbrella organisation that operates throughout the United Kingdom. Membership of ARC is open to organisations from all sectors and settings that provide support for people with a learning disability. ARC has a growing membership that currently includes 210 provider organisations across the four nation countries.
We are looking to appoint a part-time Managing Director to join us during a process of organisational change as ARC moves to a more nation specific approach in England, Northern Ireland and Scotland. We also anticipate the successful candidate will be able to make positive advances in developing ARC’s membership and influence across Wales.
This post is for a 3 year fixed term with the possibility of a further 3 year extension.
We need someone who can offer leadership to the England, Northern Ireland and Scotland Directors, the Finance Manager and shared services staff, as well as providing executive support to our Board of Trustees.
ARC exists to improve the quality of life for people who have a learning disability by supporting anyone who is involved in the planning or delivery of support and services. Underpinning this aim are ARC’s core values. ARC believes that every person with a learning disability should be in control of their own life, be actively included in their community and have access to a range of high quality services to help them achieve this.
Our strategic aims are:
- To provide support, training, information and development and networking opportunities to organisations.
- Enable members and stakeholders to collaborate more effectively and learn from each other.
- Increase the voice of providers and people who use services locally, regionally and nationally, providing strong representation.
- Striving for excellence in all that we do to ensure we meet all our agreed outcomes.
