We Want to Hear from you!
Bamford Evaluation Focus Groups – for people you support and/or their parents/carers
The DHSSPS (Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety), with the help of Association for Real Change (ARC) recently held meetings in different places in Northern Ireland.
We heard stories from people who have a learning disability and their carers, about things like health, school, work, and training.
Their stories will be used to help us know if the things we have done to make services better have changed the lives of people with a learning disability.
If you did not attend any of the meetings or were there, but would like to tell us more, you can by filling out one of the questionnaires below.
There are 2 types of questionnaires. One for parents/carers and the other is people with a learning disability. These are available to download near the bottom of the page.
We want to know if they have made things better for you, or if other changes are needed.
At the focus groups people with a learning disability and their carers will told us about what has and hasn’t worked with:
- where you live and your house,
- the support you get at home,
- with treatment you receive for your health, school, training, employment,
- day opportunities and day care for the last 4 years (since 2012).
We organised 3 meeting that where held in Ballymena , Lisburn and Omagh.
If you attended any of the 3 meetings organised and would like to tell us more you should should complete a questionnaire. You should also fill in a questionnaire if you didn’t get a chance to attend a meeting and would like to tell us what has and hasn’t worked for you.
There are 2 questionnaires one for People with a Learning Disability and one for parents/carers of people with a learning disability.
Note: You can get someone to help you fill it in if you need it.
