This course will increase participant’s awareness of sensory processing disorder and appropriate sensory interventions.

By the end of the course learners will:

  • improve their knowledge of sensory processing disorder and map their own sensory preferences
  • develop an understanding of the implications of sensory processing disorder for people with a learning disability, older adults and in particular individuals with Autistic Spectrum Disorder
  • have increased confidence to identify and manage the sensory needs of individuals they work with, which will have a direct impact on the person’s quality of life.
