care hubARC Members, CareTech, supporting the recruitment and retention issue in the West Midlands.

Together with BCPC (Black Country Partnership for Care) and other partners, CareTech is the lead partner in supporting 2 pilots – the ‘Care Hub’ projects in Dudley and Wolverhampton. These initiatives are funded through the Skills Funding Agency and the Skills For Care workforce innovation fund. The Care Hub concept originated in Partick, Scotland and is a one-stop hub for both employers to advertise vacancies and jobseekers to identify roles in the sector, as well as benefiting from placement and training opportunities.

The rationale behind the hub is to address significant growth in the number of vacancies in the sector, which is anticipated to rise to 90,000 by 2025, whilst also developing a range of projects, initiatives and training to meet employers needs.

People working in the sector can spread the word about the following myth-busting days for jobseekers, so please do display the below flyers for the events in Wolverhampton and Dudley. If you would like to get involved in the Hub by offering site visits, work placements and interviews to successful graduates of the programme, the Care Hub would like to hear from you.
