New ARC members, The Avalon Group is a Social Care charity based in the North of England, providing personalised support to people in their own homes and in the community.

“As a not-for-profit organisation, we prioritise the lives of those we support above all else. Our sole purpose is to change people’s lives for the better, and to constantly innovate and adapt our services to make sure we are the very best at what we do. This is why we are so happy to be involved with ARC, where we know the levels of excellence we can achieve will only improve through partnership and shared learning.”

Avalon have been operating for over twenty years, and in that time have grown from a small organisation based in Harrogate, to now serving the breadth of the country from Scarborough all the way across to the Wirral.

Avalon offer three specialised services which allow vulnerable adults the choice they need to ensure they receive the best support in the way that suits them. These are: Community Support – where we provide assistance with daily life, wither within someone’s home or whilst in the community attending appointments, shopping, getting involved in leisure activities etc; Shared Lives – where trained carers open their homes to allow someone with a care need to live with them on a short or long-term basis to share in their family life; Dementia Support – a specialised service provided by experts in the field of dementia care, involving care at home, adapting living space and signposting to free resources available to family carers.
