Image: Positive Risk TrainingThis NEW training package has been developed for any individual working in health and social care wishing to empower people with disabilities to take positive risks in their lives.

The training can be completed as part of your Health and Social Care Diploma or as part of your Continuing Professional Development (CPD). It covers the learning outcomes of the risk related units on the QCF, namely:

  • LD 205: Principles of Positive Risk Taking for individuals with disabilities
  • LD 305: Understanding Positive Risk Taking for individuals with disabilities

The package is available as either a distance learning package or a delivered course.

Distance Learning Package

These easy-to-follow learning materials include information to read, exercises to complete, prompts to encourage further thinking and have been designed to help learners relate content to their workplace whilst consolidating any existing knowledge.

Delivered Course

This one-day course will be delivered by our experienced trainer. The course will take you through the learning outcomes in a fun and interactive way with presentations and activities/ exercises for the individual, pairs and groups.

Accompanying the training package is a workbook to be completed and returned for Assessment, Internal Quality Assurance and Certification.
