CQC have today published the first reports from their Learning Disability Review.

The findings are still worrying:

” leadership and governance needs to be stronger to ensure that services are safe and meet essential standards. Findings so far suggest a lack of understanding about what safe, person-centred care looks like.”

ARC recently hosted a workshop for Operations Managers, which included an exploration of issues around leadership. We hope to hold similar events in 2012, and would really appreciate suggestions from members as to how we can support you to ensure services exceed essential standards, and promote truly person-centred solutions.

You can read more about the review on the CQC website.
