2. Annual provider survey

CQC have published their annual social care provider survey. The deadline for responses is midday on Wednesday 11 November.

It is just over a year since CQC formally launched their new regulatory system in adult social care, and to date they have inspected and rated over 7,500 services. They have rated 7% of services Inadequate, 34% Require Improvement, 58% Good and 1% Outstanding. They have been prioritising inspections according to risks and concerns, so findings may show a higher proportion of poor care at this stage than when all 25,000 services have been inspected at least once by next September. CQC encourage services to improve, and are already seeing services moving from an Inadequate to a Good rating during the last year.

This survey is your chance to tell CQC what you think about their approach, and whether their work helps to identify good practice and encourages improvement; it gives you the chance to feedback on your experience of, and contact with, CQC. They  want to hear from you, whether your experience is good or bad. ARC England would very much like to encourage our members to respond to this.
