Lisa, who was appointed as the ARC England Director in May 2015, said, “I’m thrilled Neil has been appointed as the Chair of ARC England. I am looking forward to working with him as we move forward in this ever changing landscape of Social Care. Neil will support me to help shape the way ARC England responds to the changing priorities and challenges our members face and we will continue to look at practical ways in which ARC can support our members.”
Upon his appointment Neil said, “I’m delighted to be joining the ARC Board again and especially pleased to have been offered the post of Chair of ARC England.
“I’m really looking forward to supporting Lisa in her role as ARC’s England Director, and helping to shape the way in which ARC England responds to the needs and priorities of our members.”
Neil Matthewman became Chief Executive Officer of Community Integrated Care in August 2011, bringing with him a wealth of experience gained during a long career within the public sector. Having held a range of senior positions in both NHS service provider and commissioning organisations, Neil left his role as Managing Director for Health Services at NHS Blackburn with Darwen Care Trust to join Community Integrated Care.
Community Integrated Care is one of Britain’s biggest health and social care charities, supporting almost 5000 people with learning disabilities, mental health concerns, autism and age-related needs, such as dementia.
