Networking

Joining ARC puts you in contact with organisations providing services to people with a learning disability throughout the UK.

Many members say that what they appreciate most is being able to meet with others in a similar position to themselves, and to know that they are not the only ones facing both they joys and the frustrations of providing services.

We offer networking opportunities at local, regional and national level, through quarterly meetings of local providers, regional conferences, special interest groups, our national conference and the e-mail forum.

The Scottish Transitions Forum was established in 2009 to enable members to come together to exchange good practice ideas, policy development and to help people acquire new skills. Find out more about the Transitions Forum.

The Progress Scotland Project, which began in 2008, set up three advisory groups working  to enable people with a learning disability to become true citizens by helping them to influence community planning and to be financially included in the support they receive. Find out more by visiting the Progress Scotland page.

We’ll always keep you informed of upcoming events and opportunities through our various information outlets or you can visit the Events page.
