ARC Scotland and members of the National Involvement Network offer individualised consultancy and support services to help organisations to get involvement right.
We offer:
- Clear approaches to plan and improve the involvement of the people you support in your organisation
- Methods to evidence work you have done to involve people who use your services
- A focus for existing involvement and self-advocate activity
- Options for including self-advocates in organisational planning and decision-making processes
We work with you and the people you support
Using the Charter for Involvement, we will work with the people that you support to assess how well they feel they are involved in the organisation and to identify areas for improvement. We will support them to write a report and action plan and to present this to your Management Board (or equivalent).
We will work with you to develop approaches that allow you to continue to make and measure progress to improve involvement.
National Involvement Network
We include a member of the National Involvement Network (NIN) in this work. NIN members are all people with learning disabilities who have developed the Charter for Involvement. Our experience shows that having someone who uses services to help facilitate meetings greatly improves the engagement and openness of those attending.
