Choosing your SVQ

The support from ARC Scotland was very good – thank you.

It has given me much more information on how to care for individuals in the correct manner in line with codes of practice promoting their independence and dignity.

Doing this award has taught me to think about my work practice and understand the theory behind my job.  I enjoyed my time doing my SVQ.

Medication Training – Very relaxed but very informative.

I have worked with Debbie and her team over the past year., their professional yet approachable and flexible manner has made it easy to establish a good working relatinship very quickly. Our SVQ candidates are making good progress and any issues that arise are dealt with efficiently and professionally.

I have better understanding of policies and procedures.  It was wonderful experience doing SVQ3 and it was great pleasure to work with my assessor.  I am very happy with outcome.

This was the most difficult, intense and exhausting qualification I have ever undertaken.  My assessor was brilliant in explaining what was required of me.  He reassured me when I was struggling to push on.  He got the best out of me. The measure of a good assessor is one who can encourage you to go a little bit further in thought, detail and boost morale.  The best there is.

I could not have asked for a better tutor.  He really made me think about the components of the course and I feel that I have really achieved a very worthwhile qualification thanks to him.  It has been a pleasure to work with my tutor.

A very rewarding experience which made me want to learn more.  Assessor was excellent, explained everything clearly in easy to understand terms when some questions appeard complicated.  Doing my award has made me much more informative to others.  I have gained skills, knowledge and awareness of procedures, protocols and practice.

Medication Training – I found the training very informative and learned a lot from this.   Enjoyed the powerpoint and was very well presented.

I feel more equipped in my role and have a lot more knowledge.  My experience was positive and felt ARC were very professional.

My assessor was incredibly supportive and her enthusiasm and enjoyment of her role made it a throughly enjoyable and educational experience.  She is an assett to your organisation.

I was supported really well considering the distance that my assessor had to travel to meet up.  My assessor explained everything to me in a way I could understand.  It has been a while since I did any exam type work and she always made me feel very capable and always had praise for my work.  It will help with all aspects of my work and give me more understanding to paper work systems and rules and regulations.

Assessor has been excellent and a great support in completing the Award.

I enjoyed working with my assessor, I found her approachable and very supportive.  She encouraged me through my low points and the times I felt overwhelmed with work, which was often!  I liked that she was always positive and pointed out how far I had come and what I’d achieved and this undoubtedly helped me focus and get through.

Assessor very helpful, patient and professional.  Clear explanation of what was required.

Person Centred Planning – Excellent course and delivery.   Trainer is very easy to understand and made the content very enjoyable.  Trainer has infectious enthusiasm.

Personal Care Training – Good.  Professionally conveyed in a knowledgeable, relaxed manner.

Thanks for all the support I was given.  It gave me more confidence in my own ability.

My assessor should be given great praise as I was very reluctant to do this award as education was not something I enjoyed.  His constant help, skills and obvious talent and love of what he does has earned him my and everyone I spoke to the utmost respect and admiration.

I was impressed by the style of training.  The lecturer was easy to understand.

I appreciate all the help I received from ARC, for their patience and guidance to get me through my award.  Thank you.
