Getting Started is our generic induction pack covering all 8 of the Refreshed Common Induction Standards in Health and Social Care and provides a structured start for new support staff and is now available as a Trainer’s Manual.
This is an easy to follow training course that takes learners through the eight standards of the ‘Refreshed Common Induction’ which is essential for staff starting to work in the Health and Social Care sector within their first 12 weeks.
The eight standards are:
- Role of the health and social care worker
- Personal development
- Communicate effectively
- Equality and Inclusion
- Principles for implementing duty of care
- Principles of safeguarding in health and social care
- Person-centred support
- Health and safety in an adult social care setting
This Trainer’s Manual provides all the necessary information to enable your Trainer to take groups of staff through their Induction.
It includes detailed step-by-step guidance notes, handouts and PowerPoint presentations covering each of the standards and the things staff should know and understand about in their workplace.
Once this training material has been delivered to your staff, the Trainer or Manager can go through the assessment questions from the pack with each staff member to ensure they have covered all of the standards successfully. Once the Trainer or Manager is happy that the standards are fully understood they can issue the Refreshed Common Induction Standards Certificate which is also included in the pack.
