Background
In 2005 at a meeting of senior managers from ARC member agencies agreed that a Senior Managers Forum would be established. It was decided that the forum would operate as a Think Tank where leaders in learning disability services will meet 4 times per year to:
- share news and views in relation to developing high quality support for people with a learning disability
- be inspired to think outside the box in managing the organisational change required to deliver on personal outcomes for the people we serve
- learn from other leaders about what works
- action plan and share initiatives.
At each session it was agreed that the format would include:
- experts sharing on what we know is happening
- leader’s input to stimulate creative and innovative thinking
- action planning on outcomes of sessions.
Facilitation and Membership
ARC (NI) facilitate the Think Tanks and membership is open to the senior manager of each member agency upon completion of an application.
It was agreed that venue/speaker costs would be met through an annual subscription fee of £_____. In exceptional cases this fee may be reduced (ie annual turnover of less than £______). To discuss reduced fees further please contact Siobhan Bogues (tel: 028 9038 0960).
