ARC Safety Net

The Safety Net project is about raising awareness around Hate Crime and Mate Crime. Our aim is to prevent the exploitation of people with learning disabilities by those claiming to be their friends. We want to help people with a learning disability and their families and supporters to identify who really is a Friend and who is a Fake.

Image: Safety Net Friend or Fake CDLaunched at the Learning Disability Today conference in November 2011 was the new ‘Friend or Fake?’ Trainer’s Resource CD containing useful information, training sessions and video clips.

With the financial assistance of North Devon District Council and Katharine Quarmby (author of the award winning book Scapegoat) we have the CD resource available for interested organisations.

ARC Members are entitled to one free copy of this CD for a limited time only.

The CD is also available to non-members at a charge of £5.00 each.

To order your copy please telephone Liz Soames on 01246 555 043 or visit the ARC Shop.
