Making Money Easier

MME-278ARC and United Response have collaborated to develop a range of accessible tools and resources aimed at making financial products and services accessible to people with learning disabilities.

The aim of the Making Money Easier project is to provide a range of accessible tools and resources aimed at making financial products and services accessible to people with learning disabilities.

To create a financial “picture bank” available on CD Rom or to download from the internet to illustrate key financial terms, processes and concepts. This followed on from the Banking Matters to Me project.

Latest information on the Making Money Easier project:

  • We have developed a range of accessible tools and resources aimed at making financial products and services accessible to people with learning disabilities.
  • We have launched the Making Money Easier Web information portal, hosting all the above resources and providing a central hub of tools and information on financial inclusion for people with learning disabilities.
  • The Making Money Easier website has an easy to follow format with lots of pictures to help make things clearer.
  • The pictures from the first Making Money Easier Guide to Banking are available to buy via the internet or on CD Rom.

Making Money Easier Tools and Resources:

  • Making Money Easier guides with easy words and explanations of key financial terms, processes and concepts using these symbols.
  • Making Money Easier training materials, covering core banking services.

Making Money Easier is funded by Friends Provident Foundation, HSBC,  the Now Let’s Talk Money Campaign and the Financial Services Authority (now CFEB).
