About ARC Projects

ARC has been working to promote Real Change in the field of Learning Disabilities since 1976. One of the ways in which we do this is through project work.

ARC’s Projects are spread across a variety of topics within learning disabilities, health and social care. We regularly publish reports, newsletters and updates, these are uploaded to the individual project pages.

For ARC Members information on the latest project developments will be detailed in our e-newsletter, ARC Insight. We highlight interesting aspects on the News page on the main ARC website and feature different projects and related information in each issue of Changing Perspectives, the ARC member’s E-zine.

Publications, training materials and courses. Usually our projects result in the publication of useful resources for ARC members and we try to promote best practice in every way possible. Many of our projects have their own websites, links to these are on the individual project pages.

Current ARC Projects are organised into themes from Black Minority and Ethnicity projects to Training Projects, click the links below to explore our projects by theme.

Completed ARC Projects are still useful sources of information on accomplishments in making change happen for people with learning disabilities, often a new project will spring from the findings of a completed one.
