Mental Capacity Act - Training for Frontline Staff 2010

MCA: Training for Frontline Staff

ARC has been commissioned by SCIE to undertake this work as evidence suggests that whilst senior managers and staff are aware of the Act, frontline staff often are not. The training course will give these staff the knowledge they need to use the principles within the Act in their daily work.

There are currently 10 places available on each of the above training days for frontline social care staff around the Mental Capacity Act, these will be allocated on a first come first allocated basis.
Fee: £12 to cover costs of lunch/refreshments
(A charge of £100 per place will be made to attend with a refund given of £88 per person on attendance.)
ARC has also been commissioned by SCIE to produce an MCA Audit Tool for frontline staff and will be using these training days to pilot this Tool. This means that every attendee will be asked to complete an initial questionnaire and a final Audit Tool ‘assessment’ on the day to demonstrate what they have learned.

Further sessions will be offered around England – dates to be confirmed.
