Training Projects
Since ARC’s inception in 1976 we have been involved in training activities throughout the learning disability sector. The ARC Training Consortium, in it’s current form, has been delivering training, qualifications, products and services since 1994.
We are currently involved in a range of training projects, which are outlined below, visit the individual project pages for more detailed information on each project.
This two-year project is funded by the
Leonardo Da Vinci Transfer of Innovation Fund and follows on from the
European Care Certificate project. The project will expand the use of the ECC to further countries in the EU.
This
ARC Northern Ireland project is aimed at getting more people into the care sector. They take 12 unemployed people through the ‘Getting Started’ training programme, a comprehensive induction into working in social care, then they sit the ECC exam.
This
ARC Northern Ireland project is developing a set of service frameworks for the delivery of health and social care services.
ARC is a leader in the development of the LD service framework.
The aim of this project is to develop an audit tool which will allow frontline staff to demonstrate how supported they feel and how able they are in implementing the Mental Capacity Act in learning disability services.
This
ARC Northern Ireland project supports a group of men and women with a learning disability to run training sessions for staff. There are programmes in Bangor and Muckamore.
