Money Projects

Money Projects

ARC has been working on improving banking services for people with a learning disability, creating resources, training and improving access for a number of years. Our research has been used in various journals and reports.

We are currently involved in a range of money-related projects, which are outlined below follow the links for more detailed information on each project.

Making Money Easier

This project is developing a range of resources aimed at making financial products and services accessible to people with learning disabilities. This includes creating a picture bank, easy words and explanations of key financial terms and the publication of a guide to banking, supporting materials and a website.

Moving on Planning Ahead

This UK-wide project is designed to help people with a learning disability to plan for their future. They will receive information about living independently and what that really means including information about finances, support and benefits. This project follows on from the Making Money Easier Project.
