Below is an example layout of an Assessor CPD/Quality Assurance Portfolio:
Section 1
D10 - Records of Candidates (PDF)To be completed for each candidate (D10 - Word) and kept up to date.
Following each individual candidate record you need to insert any feedback given to you by the internal verifier D17 PDF (D17 - Word) relating to that candidate.
Section 2
Master CopiesYou should maintain the most up to date version of the NVQ documentation in this section. These are currently available on CD and can be downloaded from the NVQ Documentation page.
Section 3
CPD RecordsYou need to maintain your own records of any CPD activities carried out relating to the assessor role which could include reading, shadowing or attending meetings or training events. You need to attend at least one ARC Assessor standardization event each year.
- Evidence of CPD activities should include a reflective account of each activity (TBI).
- D8 - annual CPD Review and Action Plan record PDF (D8 - Word) should be completed with your internal verifier and included in this section of your portfolio.
- Finally you need to include D4 - feedback from your internal verifier PDF (D4 - Word) following your annual observation of assessor practice.
Section 4
NVQ Policies and ProceduresYou should have a copy of the latest versions of the ARC NVQ Policies and Procedures in this section, followed by the NVQ Code of Practice (QCA) and any other relevant documents.
